OPA Robotics Teams Shine at First VEX Mix & Match Tournament

This past weekend, five teams from OPA-Middle School proudly represented our school at their very first VEX Robotics Mix & Match Tournament in Ontario. Under the guidance of Professor Kolk, our inaugural robotics teams — Cyber Punk, Fantastic 4, Stick Drift, Baymaxes, and Majestic 4 — spent the day designing, coding, driving, and collaborating with other teams from across the region. It was a full day of innovation and problem-solving, and our students showed incredible perseverance and enthusiasm throughout the competition.

The event wasn’t just about robots—it was about teamwork, learning, and pushing through challenges together. Our OPA students cheered one another on, adapted to obstacles, and demonstrated what it means to be resilient learners. We are so proud of how they represented OPA-Middle School with both skill and spirit. Congratulations to all our teams on a fantastic debut—you’ve set the bar high for future competitions!
